This quad rail is a great product, and offered at a good price. I’ve had this lightweight quad rail drop in hand guard on the Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II rifle for about 6 months now and put thousands of rounds thought it in that time. This Tactical Hand-guard system is designed for 16'-24' barrels, long rifle configuration. Made from T6 7075 Aluminum Alloy with Military Specification Type 3, MIL-A-8625, hard Anodized Finish.
It took me all of 10 minutes (or less) to install and fits the Colt very tightly. The Tactical Series Free Float Rail System guarantees precise fitment with your Mil Spec Standard AR M4 5.56 Nato/.223 upper receiver. The machining is precise and is nicely finished.
I found my piece at a very reasonable price, and upon receiving it, found the quality to be absolutely super. It was the UTG/Leapers drop-in carbine quad rail. In the end, I found the product I wanted. I re ly heavily on previous purchase reviews, and will often base my buying decisions on an overall reaction to available reviews. I explored many manufacturers and found there were many great providers out there, at least based on the overall consensus of previous purchasers. So, my focus became centered on a drop-in rail. Perhaps a free float rail would make more sense on a longer barreled piece where distance shooting is done, and accuracy is more critical. Other than not wanting to spend the time and energy to remove the FSP and other furniture, I decided that my carbine’s overall performance was not going to affected with a drop-in versus free float system. I determined early in the research I did not want to go through all of work associated with modifying the AR to accommodate most of the free float systems.
I spent a fair amount of time researching the various rails I could install on my Colt LE6920.
